Dong-Eui University President Han Suhwan Participates in Neulbom Program Talent Donation
Fencing Class for First Graders at Yongmun Elementary School in Nam-gu
Dong-Eui University held a fencing class as part of the "First Grade Elementary School Learning-type Neulbom Program" at Yongmun Elementary School in Nam-gu, Busan, on June 25.

View original imageThis fencing class by Dong-Eui University was conducted as part of a talent donation challenge to spread the participation atmosphere of the Neulbom School and to help it take root on site, with President Han Suhwan participating as a one-day instructor.
The fencing class began with President Han Suhwan introducing the fencing sport and explaining the rules of the game. Coaches and athletes from the Dong-Eui University fencing team then served as instructors, teaching students the basic movements of fencing steps, thrusting, and parrying, followed by practice matches and demonstration games.
President Han Suhwan said, "I am extremely happy and proud to see the children, who are our future and hope, enjoying themselves," and added, "We will continue to support children in gaining a wide range of rich experiences through various educational programs so that they can grow up happily and healthily."
Dong-Eui University has signed an agreement with the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education to operate the "2024 Learning-type Neulbom (Elementary Integrated After-school Program)" and is providing high-quality learning-type Neulbom courses utilizing the university's excellent facilities and professional staff. Since the second semester of last year, the university has been running various integrated after-school programs for students in grades 1 to 6, including English conversation, coding, drones, drums, soccer, and fencing.
President Han Suhwan of Dong-Eui University, who joined the challenge after being nominated by President Jang Soonheung of Busan University of Foreign Studies, nominated President Choi Jaewon of Pusan National University as the next participant in the Neulbom School talent donation challenge.
