Selected Works Announced and Awarded After Review in September
Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) is seeking photographs that capture the modern life and various memories of Jongno in the 1900s.
To highlight the historical value and significance of Jongno, Jongno-gu is accepting photos through the "Jongno Old Photos Contest: Archiving Photos from That Time in the Wardrobe," which includes images depicting the old scenes and memories of Jongno, photos taken with Jongno as the backdrop that hold historical value and meaning, and photos that reveal changes in life and culture.
The submission period is until the 16th of next month, and applicants can submit original photos personally taken or owned in Jongno before 1980. There are no specific size requirements, and both black-and-white and color photos are accepted. However, photos that have been edited or composited from film, video, or computer images, or photos that have won awards in other contests, are not eligible.

In September, Jongno-gu will conduct a comprehensive review considering social, cultural, and historical value and empathy, and announce the selected works. Awards will be given in categories including Grand Prize, Gold Prize, Silver Prize, Encouragement Prize, and Honorable Mention.
