In relation to the death of a soldier in the Army's 51st Infantry Division, the police and military authorities have launched an investigation.

On the 23rd, the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency and military authorities announced that around 5 a.m. that day, Private A (in his 20s), belonging to the 51st Division's external direct unit in Bibong-myeon, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, was found dead. At the scene where Private A was found, no signs of homicide or other criminal suspicions were confirmed. The police and military authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident, including whether there was any bullying, verbal abuse, or physical assault against Private A within the unit.
