Busan Digital High School Department of Electronic Warrant Officers Wins Army Chief of Staff Award and More
Three Students Including Kang Geonik, Kang Jaebaek, and Kim Jihoon Selected as Exemplary Students
Busan Digital High School (Principal Park Changhyo) announced on the 21st that three students from the Department of Electronic Warrant Officers were selected as exemplary students and received awards such as the Army Chief of Staff Award.
The award recipients are Kang Geon-ik, a third-year student who received the Army Chief of Staff Award (General Park Ansu); Kang Jaebaek, a third-year student who received the 56th Infantry Division Commander Award (Major General Park Jinhee); and Kim Jihoon, also a third-year student.
These students were recognized not only for their academic achievements but also for their exemplary conduct as prospective warrant officers, and enjoyed the honor of receiving the awards upon the principal's recommendation.
The certificates and prizes were presented on behalf of the Army Chief of Staff and others by Ryu Chunsung, the Command Sergeant Major of the 56th Division and an alumnus of Busan Digital High School, who visited his alma mater.
Principal Park Changhyo stated, "This award is the most significant since we accepted the first students into the Department of Electronic Warrant Officers in 2019, and it is a reason to celebrate not only for the students but also for all faculty and staff." He added, "I would also like to thank the teachers for their dedication and hard work in guiding and educating our students."

Kang Geon-ik, who received the Army Chief of Staff Award, said, "I was able to focus on my studies for the past three years because I had a dream of becoming a soldier," and added, "I will continue to work diligently for the remainder of my school life and will strive to become a warrant officer to repay all those who have supported me."
