Dongmyung University Creativity and Character Research Institute Presents Humanities and Social Achievements at '4C's Future Education Content Development' EXPO
The Creativity and Character Research Institute of Tongmyong University (President: Jeon Ho-hwan, Director: Yoon Jeongjin) recently participated in the '2024 Humanities and Social Achievements EXPO' held at The-K Hotel in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, where they presented and discussed their achievements in convergence research.
The Humanities and Social Achievements EXPO (hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea) is held from June 19 to 21 to share the results of the Humanities Korea (HK+) convergence research project and the Humanities and Social Research Institute support projects.
Professor Son Yeonju of the Creativity and Character Research Institute at Tongmyong University gave a presentation on June 19 titled 'Development of 4C's Creativity-Character Convergence Education Content for Future Education in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Focusing on the Establishment of Learning Communities Oriented Toward the Common Good.'
The panel discussion for the Local Content-Focused University Project Group included Professor Yoon Jeongjin (Tongmyong University), Professor Park Changgeun (Kangwon National University), and Researcher Do Minsu (Korea Standards Association), among others.
The session was chaired by Professor Noh Seongyeo (Tongmyong University). Professor Son Yeonju stated, "I am grateful to be invited to share the achievements of humanities and social convergence with the public. We will continue to explore various innovative approaches to creativity and character education for future education and further expand academic exchanges in the humanities."
Since its establishment in 2015, the Creativity and Character Research Institute at Tongmyong University has developed a variety of educational content and platforms related to creativity and character.
Based on the excellent content developed so far, the institute is establishing itself as a hub organization for spreading achievements to the local community.
In 2023, the institute faithfully operated the Korea Press Foundation's media literacy project, the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity's university career exploration camp project, and the BIS Busan Shared University liberal arts curriculum development research project. Currently, it is carrying out the second phase (2019-2025) of the National Research Foundation of Korea's Humanities and Social Research Institute Core Support Project.
