Accelerating Export of Domestic Materials and Components
Participation of Chinese Global Companies like TCL and Oppo
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA announced on the 16th that they will hold the 'China Shenzhen IT Materials and Components Global Partnership Consultation' in Shenzhen, China until the end of July.
This consultation event was organized to expand cooperation between our small and medium-sized enterprises and Chinese global companies, and to increase exports of Korean IT, electrical, and electronic-related materials and components to China.
The consultation will be attended by a total of 22 companies, including 10 global companies such as TCL, OPPO, and Meizu, as well as 12 "Zhenzhengtexin" companies?small and strong enterprises in China with specialization, precision, uniqueness, and innovation capabilities. They will conduct purchase consultations with 8 Korean companies in fields such as ▲home appliances ▲mobile ▲electronic devices for future vehicles (electric and electronic devices for future cars) ▲robots.
KOTRA plans to adopt a hybrid consultation method, combining online and offline formats, tailored to the circumstances of participating domestic companies. Additionally, opportunities for consultations with registered partner companies of these firms will be provided to support global companies in making swift import decisions when purchasing Korean products.
A representative from the global smartphone manufacturer VIVO, participating in this consultation, expressed strong interest, saying, "There are signs of improvement in the IT industry recently, and we are looking for differentiated IT materials and components from overseas," adding, "Through this opportunity, we want to directly meet excellent Korean materials and components manufacturers who are leaders in the IT field."

Hwang Jaewon, head of KOTRA's China Regional Headquarters, stated, "It is true that the IT manufacturing technology of Chinese global companies has improved compared to before, but there are still niche markets where we can penetrate," and added, "KOTRA will help our materials and components companies cooperate with global companies to enhance export competitiveness in the Chinese market."
