Operation of the Village Forum 'Wagle Wagle' in Cheomdan 2-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju
The Resident Autonomy Committee of Cheomdan 2-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, operated the village public forum 'Wagle Wagle' on the 13th in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The public forum was prepared as part of the pilot project for the advancement of cooperative villages in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
On this day, residents of Cheomdan 2-dong discussed a total of four agenda items: ▲ Revitalizing alleyway commercial districts ▲ Road traffic and safety ▲ Yeongsangang Riverside and Muyang Park ▲ Reviewing past village agendas.
Based on the discussion results of the resident public forum, the Cheomdan 2-dong Resident Autonomy Committee plans to hold a residents' general meeting to finalize the village agenda. For this purpose, advance voting will be conducted for four days starting from the 25th.
In particular, unlike previous years when the Resident Autonomy Committee carried out the village agenda, this year, village councils will be formed for each agenda discussed in the public forum to deepen the approach and strengthen execution. In this process, facilitators trained by Gwangsan-gu will participate to support the activities.
Along with the operation of the public forum on this day, the Cheomdan 2-dong Resident Autonomy Committee signed a business agreement with the Gwangsan-gu Urban Regeneration Community Center for collaboration to revitalize resident autonomy.
