Business Agreement Signed Between Two Organizations on the 10th
Support to Be Strengthened for Impact Companies
Korea Social Investment announced on the 13th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Social Impact Enterprise Development and Investment Cooperation' with venture capital (VC) Gaia Venture Partners on the 10th.

The main areas of cooperation include 'discovering ESG and social impact enterprises and exchanging information,' 'collaborating to invest in and expand investment in ESG and social impact enterprises,' and 'sharing infrastructure and personnel exchanges between the two organizations.'
Through this agreement, Korea Social Investment and Gaia Venture Partners plan to strengthen support necessary for impact enterprises. Korea Social Investment provides investment, accelerating, and ESG consulting to startups solving social problems. It has strengths in investment and accelerating in climate tech, social services, agtech, and global sectors. To date, it has executed a total of 66.2 billion KRW in impact investments (loans, investments, grants, etc.).
Gaia Venture Partners was selected last year as the fund manager for the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s social service investment fund, established for the first time. Since then, it formed the 'Gaia Social Service Investment Association' with a scale of 14.5 billion KRW (10 billion KRW from the government and 4.5 billion KRW from the private sector). Korea Social Investment also contributed 1.5 billion KRW to this fund, becoming a private limited partner (LP).

Through this collaboration with Gaia Venture Partners, we will do our best to expand the impact business ecosystem.”
