Suwon City Launches Corporate Networking 'Maehol Venture Forum' on the 27th
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is establishing the 'Maehol Venture Forum' to activate networking among local companies.
On the 13th, Suwon City announced that it will hold the founding ceremony of the Maehol Venture Forum on the 27th of this month in the city hall's medium conference room. The forum will provide a regular exchange platform for large and medium-sized enterprises, universities, accelerators (AC), venture capitalists (VC), related organizations, and startup company representatives.
The founding ceremony is co-hosted by Suwon City and Sungkyunkwan University, with participation from IBK Industrial Bank, Saevit Fund Management Company, accelerators, knowledge industry centers, corporate support centers, startup incubation centers, and industry-academic cooperation foundations of Sungkyunkwan University, Kyonggi University, Kyung Hee University, Seoul National University, and Ajou University.
The Maehol Venture Forum will be held on the last Thursday of even-numbered months (August 29, October 31, December 26). It will feature lectures, discussions, pitch events (company presentations), and business insight networking. A council will be formed to continuously operate the forum.
A Suwon City official stated, "We expect the Maehol Venture Forum to play a significant role in activating networking among local companies and fostering the startup ecosystem," and urged "many related companies, organizations, and universities to participate."
