Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) celebrated the 2nd anniversary of the 8th term of the elected government by hosting "Gather! Gangnam Stars," a happy date event with 11 residents, on the 12th at the Senior Digital Job Center (343 Hakdong-ro).
The attendees were residents who appeared on Gangnam Life TV, Gangnam-gu's YouTube channel. Each of them passionately and cheerfully lived their lives in their own way, bringing joy and inspiration to many. As key contributors to the highly viewed popular content, they were awarded certificates as Gangnam Stars and had an honest conversation with the district mayor.
The attendees included ▲ Jung Byung-ok, president of the MZ Merchants Association of Yeongdong Traditional Market ▲ Jo Eun-hye, assistant instructor for programs for people with developmental disabilities ▲ Kim Tae-min, a mischievous little pianist ▲ Kim Young-sook, a senior model trainee ▲ Oh Jin-su, who dreams of becoming the second Pavarotti after retirement through passion for vocal music ▲ Yeon In-sook, who is devoted to caricature ▲ Lee Gyu-myeong, 19th descendant of Gwangpyeongdaegun, keeper of 600 years of royal tradition ▲ Ahn Ji-woo, a native of Apgujeong who overcame the difficulties of COVID-19 and runs a restaurant on Apgujeong Rodeo Street ▲ Kim Soon-i, who overcame adversity and is living a second chapter of life through volunteering ▲ Yoon Kyung-hee, director of Motgol Hanok Children's Library ▲ and Kim Jong-su, a promotional creator with the highest number of winning entries in the 60-second video contest, totaling 11 people.
