The 10th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship 'Successfully Concluded'
Kim Minsu and Yoo Ahyeon Rank 1st in Male and Female Categories
The 10th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship held at Hwasun Elice CC on the 11th and 12th concluded successfully.
Hosted by the Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters and organized by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Golf Association, this tournament is held annually to nurture junior golf players and support the dreams and hopes of junior golfers.
The winners of the 10th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship, held on the 11th and 12th at Hwasun Ellice CC, are taking a commemorative photo.

This tournament was based on a PAR 142.
The participating players showcased their honed skills without regard to the strong sunlight beating down on them.
In the boys' division, player Kim Minsu (Howon Broadcasting High School 1st year) won the trophy with a total score of 133 strokes over two days (67 strokes on the first day and 66 strokes on the second day).
The runner-up honor went to Yu Minhyeok (Seogang High School 1st year), who scored a total of 135 strokes (69 on the first day and 66 on the second day). Kim Mingyu (Jinju Foreign Language High School 2nd year) and Park Geonwoong (Seogang High School 2nd year) tied with 136 strokes, but their rankings were decided by a back count, placing them 3rd and 4th respectively.
Fifth place was ranked to Cheon Seunghyo (Seogang High School 2nd year) with a score of 138 strokes.
In the girls' division, there was a fierce competition for 1st and 2nd place. Yu Ahyeon (Seogang High School 2nd year) and Park Jeongmin (Cheonan Central Broadcasting High School 1st year) tied with a combined score of 131 strokes (-11) over two days, but their rankings were decided by a back count.
Yu Ahyeon, who won the trophy again this year following last year's tournament, recorded 65 strokes (-6) the previous day and 66 strokes (-5) on the day of the event. Park Jeongmin, who placed second, scored 63 strokes (-8) the previous day and 68 strokes (-3) on the day.
Third place went to Jeong Haeoreum (Soongil High School 2nd year) with 137 strokes (-5), while Nam Sieun (Chungju Broadcasting High School 2nd year) and Kim Minji (Chungju Broadcasting High School 3rd year), who placed 4th and 5th respectively, tied with 138 strokes (-4) and were ranked by back count.
Trophies and scholarships were awarded to the top 5 players in both the boys' and girls' divisions.
Kim Minsu, the boys' division champion, said, "The weather was very hot, so I wasn't feeling well in the morning. After teeing off, my body warmed up and my putting gradually improved." He added, "There was a crisis when I hit an out-of-bounds shot in the middle, which made me very nervous, but I managed my mental state well and was able to achieve good results."
He also said, "I will strive to be a polite player who treats seniors and juniors well in the future."
Yu Ahyeon, the girls' division champion, said, "Since I won the 9th Asia Economy Junior Golf Championship, I approached this tournament with both expectations and pressure. There was a player ahead of me yesterday, but I tried not to pay attention and focused on my own play. I think that's why I got good results."
