OB Beer Donates 15 Million KRW Scholarship Fund to Foster Talent in Gwangju Region

OB Beer announced on the 11th that it donated 15 million KRW in educational scholarships to Gwangju Metropolitan City, where the Cass production plant is located, to foster local talent.

At the scholarship donation ceremony held the previous day at the OB Beer Gwangju Plant, Yang Woo-cheon, head of the OB Beer Gwangju Plant, handed over the 'Bitgoeul Scholarship' to Lee Sang-gap, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Economy of Gwangju City Hall, requesting that it be used to nurture local talent.
The scholarship will be used as educational expenses to support the living and academic costs of underprivileged students in the Gwangju area. About 500 Bitgoeul scholarship recipients will be selected in the second half of the year, and scholarships will be awarded at the end of the year.
OB Beer has made coexistence and development with the local community its core corporate philosophy and has been donating scholarships to Gwangju City annually since 2003 to discover and nurture local talent. The total accumulated scholarship amount is 640 million KRW.
