Addresses: Your Guide to Safety!
Ulsan City has launched a campaign to promote the importance of 'addresses' for the safety of its citizens.
On the 8th, Ulsan City announced that it would operate a promotional booth under the theme "Useful Address Information in Our Daily Lives!!" at the 2024 Ulsan 119 Safety Culture Festival, held at the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center (UECO).
This event aims to introduce the comprehensive address information system, which assigns addresses not only to buildings but also to objects and vacant lots, and to enhance public understanding of its significance.
For preschool children, an OX quiz will be held, while elementary and youth participants can join a word quiz event. Promotional souvenirs will also be provided.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "To improve daily convenience and ensure citizen safety, we are working to advance the address system by expanding the assignment of 3D addresses, object addresses, and detailed addresses. We plan to continuously promote the importance of address information."

Address information refers not only to road name addresses but also to basic numbers, national point numbers, and object addresses. Every building is assigned a road name address, roadside locations are marked with basic numbers, mountainous and coastal areas use national point numbers, and facilities closely related to daily life and safety are given object addresses to guide their locations.
