Artist Kim Kyunghwa Holds Solo Exhibition 'Reflections on Past Memories'
Artist Kyunghwa Kim's solo exhibition "Reflections on Past Memories" will be held at Anna Art Gallery Cafe until June 29.
This exhibition is Kyunghwa Kim's first painting exhibition, showcasing various paintings themed around past memories and the passage of time.
Through Kyunghwa Kim's unique color sense and emotional expression, visitors will have the opportunity to reflect on past memories from a new perspective.
Key works in this exhibition include "Myth," "FACE," "Road," "Insomnia," "Flying a Plane," "End of Summer," "Coincidence," "Small Room," "A Sparrow's Day," "Keep the Silence," and "To You, Radiant," each embodying the artist's distinctive colors, imagination, and philosophical reflections.
Through these works, Kyunghwa Kim aims to convey that "memory is not simply the past, but the present, the future, and hope."
The Anna Art Gallery Cafe, where the exhibition is held, is located on Myeongdong Street in Seoul, easily accessible to the public. Departing from the somewhat rigid format of traditional galleries, this exhibition combines a cafe and gallery, allowing many visitors to comfortably enjoy the paintings while drinking coffee or tea.
Kyunghwa Kim stated, "Memory is not just the past but oneself," and added, "I hope this exhibition becomes an opportunity for people to revisit memories they have long forgotten."
The exhibition is open until Saturday, June 29 (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and admission is free.
