Recruiting Event Participants Until the 5th of Next Month
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is selecting the "2024 Seongbuk-gu Carbon Zero (zero) King" in response to the surge in electricity usage during the summer. The aim is to encourage voluntary energy saving among residents and realize the "2050 Carbon Neutral City."
The district is recruiting participants for the "2024 Carbon Zero (zero) King Selection Event" from June 10 to July 5. Any Seongbuk-gu resident can participate, and registration with Seoul Eco Mileage is required for electricity usage monitoring.
The "Carbon Zero (zero) King" will be selected through a relative evaluation of households that reduce their electricity usage by 5% or more compared to the previous year, based on electricity consumption data from June to August. The results will be posted on the district office website in December. Selected households will receive prizes totaling approximately 2 million KRW, and all participants will be given energy-saving multi-tap power strips.
To apply, download the application form from the Seongbuk-gu Office website, fill it out, and submit it in person at the Environmental Division of Seongbuk-gu Office or via mail, email, or fax. For more details, contact the district office website or the Environmental Division.
