A festival full of enjoyable events will unfold, featuring romantic performances by Imujin and BE’O, as well as the docent idol ‘Jeong Woo-cheol Docent’ from the docent world.
Seocho-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 4th that it will hold the ‘2024 Seocho Music and Art Festival’ at the Seoul Express Bus Terminal Plaza area on August 8-9, heating up the summer nights.
The Seocho Music and Art Festival is the summer festival among the four seasonal and themed festivals. The theme is ‘The beginning of summer, a musical and artistic journey filled with joy and rest in the heart of the city.’ Additionally, the word ‘Yojum’ (meaning ‘these days’) was used to plan the booths and festival, signifying that various currently trending contents are all included in the festival.
This festival was planned and operated directly by young people. The festival will be run in three concept zones: ▲Music Zone ▲Art Zone ▲Camping Zone, with diverse events held in each zone accordingly.
On August 8, starting from 3 PM, the Art Zone will feature a ‘Yojum Circus’ theme with Team Funist’s comedy circus show, a spatial circus salon, and a lively opening parade by Rap Percussion. From 7 PM, the Music Zone main stage will present ‘Yojum Music’ with top popular artists ‘Imujin,’ ‘BE’O,’ and ‘Shin Hyun-hee’ delivering performances that capture the romance and energy of youth.
On August 9, from 3 PM, under the theme ‘Yojum Play,’ a Boongboong Car race will be held, allowing the whole family to joyfully race non-motorized toy cars around the terminal plaza. Residents wishing to participate can register online in advance or on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.
Also, from 6:30 PM, under the theme ‘Yojum Art,’ a visual art concert featuring Seocho-gu’s young artists and docent Jeong Woo-cheol will take place. Docent Jeong Woo-cheol will share stories from the youth of ‘Mucha, Renoir, and Klimt’ accompanied by performances from the Reinehaus Ensemble.
During the two-day festival, the Experience Zone will host various participatory programs under the theme ‘Yojum Sensibility,’ including the ‘Luck Bus,’ where participants decorate paper buses and wish for good fortune, and the ‘Giraffe Bus,’ where participants create their own T-shirts with influencer and artist ‘Left Hand Draws Giraffe Picture.’
