Doctor Who Left Conduct Guidelines Also Referred
Members who posted malicious articles targeting a university hospital professor on the medical community online platform 'Medistaff' were collectively referred to the prosecution.
The Cyber Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 3rd that out of 23 people who posted mocking articles about Professor A at a university hospital on Medistaff, 7 were sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of insult, and 3 were sent on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
According to the police, they are suspected of posting malicious articles about Professor A, who persuaded residents to stop collective resignation and return to the medical field.
A police official said, "Investigations of 22 out of the 23 suspects have been completed," adding, "There are legal reviews remaining for the other suspects, and they will be referred later."
In addition, the police referred a current doctor who wrote an action guideline on Medistaff instructing to delete hospital data before resignation to the prosecution without detention.
The Gangnam Police Station announced on the 3rd that Doctor B was sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of obstruction of business on the 23rd of last month.
