View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters held a send-off ceremony on the 31st of last month for the Gyeonggi-do representative team participating in the 37th National Firefighting Skills Competition.
The ceremony, held at the Gyeonggi-do National Safety Experience Center located in Osan, was attended by Cho Seon-ho, head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and athletes from various events, where they made a strong commitment to achieving excellent results in the National Firefighting Skills Competition.
This year's competition will be held for three days from the 3rd to the 5th of this month at the Central Fire Academy in Gongju-si, Chungnam.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters formed a team of 36 athletes competing in 10 events including Best Firefighter, Fire Tactics, and Emergency Medical Tactics. Last year, the headquarters ranked 2nd overall among all cities and provinces nationwide.
Kim Seong-su, a fire captain from Bucheon Fire Station and representative of the team, stated, "We will fully demonstrate the skills we have honed so far and elevate the prestige of Gyeonggi firefighting."

Cho Seon-ho, head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, encouraged the team, saying, "Since every athlete participates with pride representing the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, I hope they do their best and achieve good results."
