NewJeans Selected in Billboard's '21 Under 21' List
The Only One Among K-pop Artists
Our country's girl group NewJeans was included in Billboard's list of 21 influential artists under the age of 21.
According to the '21 Under 21' list released by the US Billboard on the 31st of last month (local time), NewJeans was the only K-pop artist to make the list. Billboard highlighted NewJeans' achievements, stating that they have "established a unique position in K-pop."
NewJeans topped the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' within one year of their debut with their second mini album 'Get Up.' They also placed five songs, including 'Ditto' and 'Super Shy,' on the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100.' In March, they received the 'Group of the Year' award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards. Their recently released new double single 'How Sweet' has been performing well on major domestic and international charts. The title track of the same name ranked 85th on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart and reached the top ranks on domestic music charts such as Melon.
