Gyeongsangnam-do annually evaluates major transportation administration policies in its 18 cities and counties to ensure policy effectiveness and improve transportation convenience, providing incentives to outstanding cities and counties.
This year's evaluation included quantitative assessments on 20 indicators such as the traffic culture index, mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable groups, route bus safety inspections, expansion of metropolitan transportation systems, and improvement of school route facilities for children, as well as qualitative assessments on transportation safety initiatives and cooperation with provincial transportation policies.
Haman County received high scores for its traffic culture index (Grade A/nation's highest score), electric vehicle supply (3,371 units), and route bus safety inspection performance (75.6% of registered buses), earning recognition for its achievements.
A county official stated, "This achievement is the result of all our staff's efforts to improve the traffic culture and environment for our residents," adding, "We will continue to work harder to enhance the transportation environment so that residents can enjoy a safer and more convenient daily life."
