Busan Urban Corporation Announces Recruitment for Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Tenants
For Households Without Homes Including Livelihood and Medical Benefit Recipients
50 Units Available This Year, Apply at Administrative Welfare Centers by June 7
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yonghak) announced on the 24th that it will be accepting applications for the '2024 Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Tenants' from May 31 to June 7.
The 'Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Housing' program, designed to ensure housing stability for low-income households, allows selected tenants to choose a jeonse house within the support limit. Busan Urban Corporation then signs a jeonse contract with the owner of the chosen house and subleases it to the selected tenant.
BMC launched the 'Existing Housing Jeonse Rental Program' in 2007 and has supplied a total of 2,090 units to date. In this recruitment, 50 units will be provided.
Eligibility requirements include being a member of a homeless household registered in Busan and falling into one of the following categories: recipients of basic livelihood or medical benefits, single-parent families under protection, households in urgent need of housing support, or households with an average monthly income below 70% of the median for people with disabilities or the elderly (beneficiaries or those in the next lower income bracket). Applicants must visit the administrative welfare center of their registered address during the application period to apply.
Selected tenants can choose a house with an exclusive area of up to 85 square meters per unit, and the rental contract can be renewed up to 14 times for a maximum of 2 years each term.
