Pumpkin Selected as Seoul City's Electric Bus Rapid Charging Facility Operator for 6 Consecutive Years
Pumpkin, a leading company in Fleet electric vehicle charging stations, announced on the 20th that it has been selected as the rapid charging facility operator for electric buses in Seoul for six consecutive years. Since 2019, Pumpkin has participated in Seoul's electric bus rapid charging facility project and has built and operated large-scale charging stations at over 55 depots.
Earlier this year, Pumpkin was also selected as a subsidy recipient for the 2024 Ministry of Environment’s slow and rapid charger project and is expanding electric vehicle charging stations nationwide. Currently, Pumpkin operates more than 530 electric vehicle rapid chargers of 100kW or higher in Seoul and approximately 3,100 nationwide.
The innovative ideas Pumpkin proposed to Seoul this time include a new concept of electric vehicle chargers: ceiling-mounted chargers and shelter-integrated chargers. According to Pumpkin, these are newly patented technologies, and installation within public depots in Seoul is planned in consultation with the city in the second half of 2024. Additionally, the pantograph automatic robot charging system, applicable to autonomous electric vehicles, has completed a two-year demonstration project and is ready for commercialization.
Furthermore, as a leading company in Fleet electric vehicle charging stations, Pumpkin operates 306 large-scale Fleet concept charging stations with capacities of 1,000kW or more, based on its expertise in building large-scale charging stations. Recently, it has also expanded electric bus dedicated charging services to regional public depots.
