MS CEO Attends Summit... Discusses AI with Global CEOs
Kyung Kye-hyun, President of Samsung Electronics Device Solutions (DS) Division, emphasized on the 16th that "Samsung Semiconductor will accelerate the pace of innovation for customers using artificial intelligence (AI) tools."
In a post on LinkedIn that day, President Kyung stated, "As an industry leader in semiconductor technology, we challenged ourselves to explore new ways of working using AI," adding, "In response, I was impressed by the DS Assistant and N-ERP AI proposed by our team."
The DS Assistant is an in-house generative AI introduced by Samsung Electronics' DS division. N-ERP is a next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that supports management information sharing and efficient work processing.
President Kyung explained, "The DS Assistant grants generative AI access rights to the business unit, helping accelerate the company's digital transformation by automating various internal tasks such as time-consuming market and company analysis, translation, code generation, and document creation."
He also added, "N-ERP is a next-generation ERP system that supports AI-based decision-making and work automation using optical character recognition (OCR)."
He said, "The DS Assistant and N-ERP are just the beginning," expressing his expectation that "Samsung Semiconductor will continuously experiment with AI tools internally to increase the speed of innovation while providing next-generation solutions for customers."
