Professor Im Nam-gi of Dongmyeong University Appointed as Busan City Safety Management Advisory Group Leader for 6 Consecutive Years
Professor Lim Nam-gi of the Department of Architectural Engineering at Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) was recently elected as the head of the Busan City Safety Management Advisory Group.
Professor Lim's term as head will run from May 2024 to the end of April 2025, marking his sixth consecutive year in this role.
At the regular meeting of the Safety Management Advisory Group held on the 2nd at the Busan City Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters conference room, Professor Lim stated, “We will faithfully fulfill the advisory group's role by providing various information and expert advice to safety management and supervisory agencies in each district and county to prevent accidents.”
The Busan City Safety Management Advisory Group is an organization responsible for safety inspections of Class 1, 2, and 3 facilities, safety inspections and consultations for facilities requested by residents, and support for Safety Day events. It is composed of 16 members in architecture, 8 in civil engineering and soil, 7 in firefighting, 4 in gas, 3 in explosives, 2 each in construction safety, machinery, and electrical fields, and 1 in elevators.
Additionally, the advisory group consists of a collective of 45 experts, including 28 professional engineers, 7 university professors, 3 architects, 6 members from specialized institutions in gas, electrical, firefighting, and elevators, and 1 experienced professional.

Professor Lim Nam-gi expressed, “I feel a great sense of responsibility as I have continuously served as head six times,” adding, “I will make every effort with the advisory committee members to prevent safety accidents in construction and industrial sites.”
