JTBC Exit Poll Predicts 11-15 Seats
"Will Propose 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Act' Immediately Upon Opening"
The Joguk Innovation Party is expected to secure a number of seats exceeding predictions in the April 10 general election, continuing the 'Joguk wave.'
According to the exit poll results for the 22nd National Assembly election announced on the afternoon of the 10th by JTBC, the Joguk Innovation Party is predicted to win 11 to 15 seats. The terrestrial broadcasters' (KBS, MBC, SBS) exit polls estimate 12 to 14 seats. This surpasses the party's goal of more than 10 proportional representation seats in this election, and if the prediction holds true, the Joguk Innovation Party will rise as the third-largest party in the National Assembly.

In particular, Park Eun-jung, the number one proportional representation candidate, is expected to enter the National Assembly smoothly despite various controversies that arose during the campaign period. Park was criticized as a 'salary loafer' for taking sick leave and not attending work for 1 year and 9 months starting from July 2022 while serving as a prosecutor.
Her spouse, lawyer Lee Jong-geun, also a former prosecutor, became embroiled in a 'preferential treatment' controversy after allegations surfaced that he defended a suspect in a multi-level marketing fraud case estimated to involve damages up to 1 trillion won and received approximately 2.2 billion won in legal fees.
Joguk, the leader of the Joguk Innovation Party and the number two proportional representation candidate, is also expected to secure a seat in the National Assembly. Hwang Un-ha, a current member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party and number eight on the proportional list, is also likely to return to the Assembly. Candidates such as Lee Hae-min, formerly of Google (number three proportional), lawyer Shin Jang-sik (number four proportional), and Cha Gyu-geun, former head of the Immigration and Foreign Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Justice (number ten proportional), are also within the winning range.
The Joguk Innovation Party, which was founded on the 3rd of last month with the slogan 'Early End to Prosecutorial Regime,' fielded 24 proportional representation candidates without any district candidates.
Following the announcement of the exit poll results, Joguk, the party leader, cheered and clapped with the proportional representation candidates in the vote counting room set up at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido.
Joguk said, "The people have won. The true protagonists of this general election victory are the citizens who can no longer tolerate the regression of the Yoon Seok-yeol prosecutorial dictatorship regime," and demanded, "President Yoon Seok-yeol should humbly accept the results of this general election and apologize to the people for the numerous misgovernances and corruptions so far." He added, "The general election is over, but the political change that the Joguk Innovation Party will bring is just beginning," and pledged, "We will immediately propose the 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Act' upon the opening of the National Assembly."
Joguk had previously announced at a National Assembly press conference on the 12th of last month that upon the opening of the 22nd National Assembly, he would propose the 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Introduction Act' to investigate allegations such as the thesis ghostwriting suspicion involving Han Dong-hoon, the emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party's daughter.
