107 Medical Students Apply for Leave of Absence in One Day
Cumulative Total of 10,349 Cases, Actual Number Likely Higher
The number of medical students who applied for a leave of absence in protest against the increase in the quota of medical school admissions has risen by more than 100.
According to the Ministry of Education on the 2nd, a survey conducted the previous day targeting 40 medical schools nationwide showed that 107 students from 5 schools had valid leave of absence applications.
The cumulative number of valid leave of absence applications was 10,349, accounting for 55.1% of the 18,793 medical students enrolled nationwide as of April last year.
