SK C&C Surpasses 1,000 Recipients of 'Happy IT Scholarship' for Youth with Disabilities
On the 28th, SK C&C held the '2024 Happy IT Scholarship Award Ceremony' at SK-u Tower in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, for disabled youth aspiring to become artificial intelligence (AI) experts.
Now in its 20th year, the 'SK C&C Happy IT Scholarship' is operated through the voluntary participation of SK C&C employees to strengthen the digital skills of disabled youth and support their stable entry into society.
The total amount of scholarships sponsored by SK C&C to date reaches 1.64 billion KRW, and the total number of students who have received the Happy IT Scholarship is 1,007. This year, a total of 120 million KRW in scholarships will be awarded to 38 Happy IT scholars, including 34 university students and 4 graduate students.
The Happy IT Scholarship fund was raised through employee participation in an internal online and offline fundraising campaign over the past year, combined with reward points donated from the social value practice program in daily life (Haenggarae).

Happy IT scholars were selected through document evaluation and an assessment by a selection committee composed of external experts, from among students who applied after seeing a separate announcement guided by the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association. The selection committee focused on evaluating the applicants' dreams for the future, efforts for self-development, and career plans submitted by the students.
