Hantoo Asset Management's 'ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE' Surpasses 300 Billion KRW in Net Assets
Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 25th that the net asset value of the ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) has surpassed 300 billion KRW.
The ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE ETF was launched in November 2022. Following the net asset value exceeding 150 billion KRW in February this year, the fund grew to 300 billion KRW in just over a month. As of the 22nd of this month, the net asset value stands at 303.6 billion KRW.
The increase in net asset value is attributed to outstanding performance. The ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE ETF is characterized by its focused investment in leading companies across various sectors within the semiconductor industry. The leading companies are selected as the number one firms in four sectors within the semiconductor industry: △Memory △Non-memory △Foundry △Semiconductor Equipment. Currently, the weightings of the four companies are NVIDIA (25.24%), ASML (20.75%), TSMC (20.74%), and Samsung Electronics (14.78%), respectively.
Besides these four companies, the ETF includes top market capitalization stocks within the semiconductor industry such as △Applied Materials △AMD △Qualcomm △Broadcom △Texas Instruments △Intel, each comprising about 2-3% of the portfolio.
The carefully selected portfolio has translated into strong returns. The ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE ETF posted returns of 62.75% over the past six months and 80.27% over the past year. These figures significantly outperform the average returns of domestically listed semiconductor ETFs during the same periods, which are only 39.72% for six months and 51.17% for one year.
Capital inflows, including net purchases by individual investors, continue steadily. Since the beginning of this year, individual investors have net purchased 72.7 billion KRW worth of the ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE ETF, with total capital inflows amounting to 140.9 billion KRW.
