Gwangju Nambu Police Station Conducts Joint Night Patrols in Crime-Vulnerable Areas
On the night of the 21st at around 10 PM, the Gwangju Nambu Police Station conducted a nighttime joint patrol for visible deterrence in crime-prone areas such as Jeongilpum Intersection in Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, the police announced on the 22nd.
This was part of proactive crime prevention activities, with about 22 participants including the Nambu Police Station Crime Prevention Division, Bangnim District Unit, Mobile Patrol Unit, and Bongseon 1-dong Volunteer Crime Prevention Team.
The patrol route was selected based on weekly analysis of various security data to identify major crime-prone areas. Following the results of the Nambu Police Station’s crime prevention strategy meeting, the patrol targeted the Bongseon 1-dong dining alley and Jeongilpum Intersection area.
In particular, by selecting crime-prone areas using security data and concentrating available personnel such as the Mobile Patrol Unit and Volunteer Crime Prevention Team, visible deterrent patrols were conducted to carry out proactive security activities, aiming to improve residents’ perceived safety.
