'Seungmu (Hwaseong Lee Dong-anryu),' designated as Hwaseong City's first local intangible cultural asset, is a Seungmu dance performed by Lee Dong-an, a talented person from Hwaseong. It is characterized by removing the monk's robe, placing it over the Buddhist drum, and finishing with a gesture of clasped hands bowing. This movement is based on a background legend in which a disciple at a mountain temple danced vigorously following the advice of a Taoist monk who appeared in a dream to heal the illness of his old master, then suddenly left the temple.
Kim Jeong-ah, who was selected as the holder, studied the dance under Park Jeong-im, the successor of Lee Dong-an, thus continuing the transmission lineage. To widely promote Lee Dong-an's dance, Kim established the 'Hwaseong Jaein Lee Dong-an Preservation Society' and operates various dance transmission projects.
