Daejeon City Selects 19 Additional Companies for Hometown Love Donation Program Thank-You Gifts

Daejeon City announced that it has additionally selected 19 local companies, including Yuseong Agricultural Cooperative, as suppliers of thank-you gifts for the 2024 Hometown Love Donation Program.
On the 19th, the city held a selection committee meeting for thank-you gifts under the Hometown Love Donation Program and selected 19 companies and 45 thank-you gifts. As a result, the number of thank-you gift suppliers increased from the previous 24 to 43.
The selected thank-you gifts include △ 24 agricultural and livestock products and processed foods (such as Seonhwa-dong Spicy Silbi Kimchi, Umyeong-dong Sesame Oil) △ 15 crafts and industrial products (such as Daejeon Tourism Organization's Kkumdori Doll, Toye Ceramics Calligraphy Mug) △ 5 tourism products (such as Shinsegae Daejeon Expo Aquarium admission tickets, Daejeon City Tour) △ and local currency (Daejeon Love Gift Certificates).
Kim Young-jin, Head of the Communication Policy Division of Daejeon City, said, “We have additionally selected thank-you gifts in various fields from crafts to tourism products to broaden the choices for donors,” and added, “We will continue to strive to discover thank-you gifts preferred by donors.”

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their place of residence. Donors receive a full tax credit for donations up to 100,000 KRW, a 16.5% tax credit on the amount exceeding 100,000 KRW, and can receive local agricultural and specialty products as thank-you gifts within 30% of the donation amount.
