On the 20th, the police began tracking after receiving a report that an email threatening to carry out a bomb attack at Gocheok Dome, where the Major League Baseball (MLB) opening game in Seoul is scheduled, was received.
According to the Guro Police Station in Seoul, a report was received early that day stating, "I will detonate a bomb during the game and harm player Shohei Ohtani and others." The initial reporter was investigated to be an employee of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver, Canada.
The email was written in English, and the sender claimed to be a Japanese lawyer. It is currently being verified whether the sender is actually Japanese.

The police are tracking the suspect who sent the email and plan to deploy 30 special forces and 120 riot police to check for the presence of explosives.
So far, no dangerous situations such as detection of explosives have occurred.
The police are investigating the possibility that this incident is the work of the same perpetrator responsible for a series of threatening emails and faxes sent from Japan to Korea since August last year. At that time, the sender introduced himself as a Japanese lawyer, and the format and content of the emails and faxes were similar.
