The Fair Trade Commission received the Prime Minister's Commendation for contributing to anti-corruption and improving integrity.
On the 20th, the Fair Trade Commission announced that it achieved the highest grade, Grade 1, among 25 ministerial-level central administrative agencies in the 2023 Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation of Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The head of the agency was recognized for leading by example in efforts to establish an anti-corruption and integrity organization, receiving the Prime Minister's Commendation in the field of anti-corruption along with a traditional drum (Sinnungo) as a prize, and a reward of 8 million KRW.
As a central administrative agency, the Fair Trade Commission donated the entire reward to the Community Chest of Korea, symbolizing a commitment not only to fostering a culture of integrity but also to social responsibility.
The Community Chest of Korea, symbolized by the "Fruit of Love," is the only legally authorized fundraising and distribution organization in Korea, collecting public donations to support private welfare projects for children, youth, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and multicultural families.
