International Joint Research Idea Contest on Forest Science and Technology
The Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute announced on the 18th that they are accepting submissions for the "International Joint Research Ideas in Forest Science and Technology" until the 28th of this month.
The contest aims to discover projects that require international joint research in the field of forest science and technology to strengthen global competitiveness.
The Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute plan to select and award 10 outstanding ideas. The total prize money is 2.7 million KRW. The first prize of 1 million KRW will be awarded to one winner, the second prize of 500,000 KRW each to two winners, and the third prize of 100,000 KRW each to seven winners.
Anyone in the public can participate in the contest. To enter, participants must submit a proposal by email by the specified deadline. For more details, please refer to the contest announcement posted on the "Sotong24" website.

Nam Sung-hyun, Administrator of the Korea Forest Service, stated, "Strengthening international joint research is very important to jointly address global issues such as climate change and forest disasters and to quickly acquire advanced technologies," adding, "We hope for the participation of many citizens, including experts from industry, academia, research, and government."
