[Breaking News] Among 509 Cases of Doctor Collective Action Damage, 350 Involve 'Surgery Delays'
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that the 'Physician Collective Action Damage Report Support Center' consulted on a total of 1,414 cases from the 19th of last month to the 15th of this month, and 509 cases were officially reported as damage cases.
Among the 509 damage reports, 'surgery delays' accounted for the largest number with 350 cases, followed by 88 cases of appointment cancellations, 48 cases of refusal of treatment, and 23 cases of hospitalization delays.
By medical specialty, surgical fields such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery accounted for 197 cases, representing 39% of the total.
Recently, the number of damage reports received through the Damage Report Support Center has been on a decline. During the first week of operation from February 19 to 23, the daily average was 45.4 cases, the highest, but from March 11 to 15, the daily average decreased to 13 cases.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare stated, "We will continue to closely monitor the damage cases reported to the Damage Report Support Center to ensure timely and appropriate support is provided."
