Park Yong-jin, Defeated in Primary, Requests Reconsideration... "Regardless of Reconsideration Outcome, Devoted to the Democratic Party"
Raising Various Suspicions Through a 15-Page Reconsideration Petition
On the 13th, Park Yong-jin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, filed a request for a retrial regarding the primary election results. Park confirmed once again that he filed the retrial request from the perspective of exercising his rights and that regardless of whether the retrial is accepted, he intends to work hard for the Democratic Party's victory in the general election.
On the 13th, Park's side announced that they had filed a retrial request with the party's retrial committee concerning the primary election results. In a 15-page retrial petition, Park raised issues such as the possibility of public opinion distortion due to the prior leakage of opinion polls, circumstances of mobile phone billing address changes, false and distorted publication of opinion polls one week before the primary, and the potential violation of party rules and regulations by deciding not to disclose the first round primary results.

Earlier, on the 11th, Park lost to Jeong Bong-ju, head of the party's Education Training Institute, in the Seoul Gangbuk-gu Eul primary. Although Park led in the rights party members and general citizen opinion polls, he narrowly lost due to a deduction applied for being in the bottom 10% of incumbent legislative activity evaluations.
