Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Lee Kwang-hoon) announced on the 13th that "Shin-Kori Unit 1 (pressurized water reactor type, 1 million kW class) stopped power generation at 5:30 PM on the 12th to begin planned preventive maintenance, including fuel replacement and major equipment inspection."

During the planned preventive maintenance period, which will continue until April 21, the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to enhance the reliability of the nuclear power plant by performing major equipment system inspections, tests, and facility improvements, including ▲ fuel removal and reloading ▲ disassembly inspection of the low-pressure turbine ▲ inspection of the emergency diesel generator (EDG) and auxiliary systems ▲ statutory inspections according to the Nuclear Safety Act and the Electricity Business Act.
