A 'Health Theme Park' to Be Established in Suji Jungang Park, Yongin
Yongin City to Invest 5.6 Billion Won for Completion by 2027
Featuring 4km Forest Trail and Pet Walking Path
A large-scale theme park will be created in Suji Central Park in Sinbong-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Yongin City announced on the 13th that it plans to invest 5.6 billion KRW to develop a health-themed theme park in Suji Central Park, scheduled for completion in 2027. Suji Central Park is being developed on a 518,047㎡ area around San 179, Sinbong-dong.
The city will create a 4km-long health-themed forest trail with various themes such as tree forest paths, flower paths, pine forest paths, and pet walking trails within the park. The park will also include various exercise spaces and resting areas such as a park golf course and an adventure playground.
Additionally, the city plans to complete by March the removal of old palm mats installed on a 1.3km hiking trail within the park, leveling the walking paths, and improving drainage to prepare for safety during the rainy season.

A city official said, "Suji Central Park will serve as the lungs responsible for the health of urban residents," adding, "We will do our best to create a nature-friendly theme park that all generations can enjoy and make it a healing destination."
