Dongdaemun-gu, Bulk Used Clothing Pickup Service for Moves and More
When Large Amounts of Used Clothes Occur Due to Moving, Local Governments Conduct Initial On-Site Collection
If Applied by Phone, Existing Clothing Collection Agreement Groups Will Collect and Recycle Them
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will implement a service starting March 11 that collects large quantities of used clothes through home visits to provide convenience to residents.
Although the principle is to dispose of recyclable used clothes through clothing collection bins, when large amounts of used clothes occur due to reasons such as moving or death, it is difficult to handle them all at once, and there is also a risk of fire if the bereaved family burns the belongings.
Accordingly, Dongdaemun-gu has become the first local government to implement a project that collects large quantities of used clothes on the desired day through home visits.
If you apply by phone to the Dongdaemun-gu Cleaning Administration Division, the existing clothing collection partner organizations will visit on the scheduled date to collect the clothes. Collectible items include clothing, shoes, bags, and items such as hats and blankets excluding cotton quilts, which are the same as the items disposed of in clothing collection bins.
