Preliminary candidate Bae Jong-ho pledged, “Mokpo City's total fertility rate (number of infants) was 0.7% (797 infants) in 2021, 0.74% (820 infants) in 2022, and 831 infants in 2023. I will devote all my efforts to achieving the goal of 'Mokpo, a city hopeful for a birthrate target of 1.0.'”
