Pyeongtaek-si Bukbu Youth Culture House Recruiting Schools for Archery Experience Participation
The Northern Youth Culture House in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do is recruiting schools to participate in 'Myeonggung,' a traditional archery experience program.
This program is designed for 4th to 6th graders in elementary school and 1st to 3rd graders in middle school within the district, and will run from April to September. A total of 13 schools will be recruited, including 5 schools in the southern area, 4 schools in the northern area, and 4 schools in the western area.
The program introduces Korean traditional archery and the nine principles of archery to help participants understand the culture of gukgung, teaches proper archery posture, and provides hands-on experience shooting the bow.
The application period is until the 29th of this month. Schools wishing to participate should refer to the official notice and submit the application form within the deadline.

Oh Hyun-jeong, director of the Northern Youth Culture House, said, "Through the gukgung experience, young people will understand the value of traditional culture, enhance their concentration, and have an opportunity for physical and mental training as well as spiritual cultivation. We will make efforts to ensure that youth can participate safely throughout this activity."
