Saemirae Recruits Two Experts in Firefighting and Disaster Prevention... "Democratic Party Incumbent Lawmakers Join"
On the 27th, Saeroun Mirae recruited Cho Jong-mook, the inaugural Commissioner of the Fire Agency, and Kim Seong-yong, Director of the Disaster Prevention Culture Promotion Institute, as talents.
Lee Nak-yeon and Kim Jong-min, co-representatives of Saeroun Mirae, held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office that morning to announce these recruitments.
Cho Jong-mook, a former firefighter and ex-Commissioner (62), served as the first Commissioner of the independent Fire Agency established during the Moon Jae-in administration. Saeroun Mirae stated, "Former Commissioner Cho has focused on fire-related issues and improving firefighters' working conditions based on his expertise, including the independence of the Fire Agency, establishment of fire hospitals, and large-scale recruitment to address manpower shortages on site."

View original imageDirector Kim Seong-yong (62) is known as a private expert with over 40 years of experience in the disaster prevention field. The party introduced him as "someone who responded faster than anyone else to major domestic and international disasters such as the Sampoong Department Store collapse and the Indonesian tsunami, playing a crucial role," and "the first to introduce and operate an advanced disaster management system in Korea."
Meanwhile, co-representative Lee Nak-yeon announced that one member of the Democratic Party, ranked in the bottom 10% in the evaluation of incumbent lawmakers, will leave the party and join Saeroun Mirae.

On SBS Radio, Representative Lee said regarding the lawmakers joining Saeroun Mirae amid the Democratic Party nomination turmoil, "I think there will be one more person today."
