Gyeonggi Office of Education Provides Subsidies for 'Alternative Education Institutions and Out-of-School Youth'
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is launching a subsidy support project to guarantee the learning rights of alternative education institutions and out-of-school youth.
The subsidy support project includes support for alternative education institutions under the 'Local Subsidy Act' and educational support for out-of-school youth, with the project period running from May to December.
The alternative education institution support project provides program operation expenses and book purchase costs, including textbooks and reference books, to alternative education institutions registered with the Provincial Office of Education.
The out-of-school youth education support project offers safety education, psychological and emotional, and character programs to alternative education institutions registered with the Provincial Office of Education as well as unrecognized (unauthorized, unregistered) educational facilities.
·
In particular, the out-of-school youth education support project mandates safety education programs such as life safety, traffic safety, and prevention of drug and cyber addiction as essential conditions for subsidy support. This is a measure to ensure the safe learning rights of school-age out-of-school youth.
Institutions wishing to apply for the subsidy support project can submit their applications from the 27th of this month to the 19th of next month through the newly launched Education Office Botam e (https://les.klef.go.kr) subsidy system.
The Provincial Office of Education will announce the selected institutions on its website in April after the review and deliberation process.
