Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 22nd that it will select 54 employees for 17 public institutions under its jurisdiction, including public enterprises and invested organizations, through an integrated recruitment process in the first half of the year.
The announced number of recruits includes 5 for Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, 10 for Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation, 8 for Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation, 7 for Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency, 5 for Gyeongbuk Agricultural Food Distribution and Education Promotion Agency, 3 for Gyeongbuk Bio Industry Research Institute, 3 for Gyeongbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation, 3 for Saemaul Foundation, 2 for Gyeongbuk Environmental Training Institute, 1 for Pohang Medical Center, 1 for Korea National Studies Advancement Institute, 1 for Gyeongbuk Women’s Policy Development Institute, 1 for Gyeongbuk Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, 1 for Gyeongbuk Independence Movement Memorial Hall, 1 for Gyeongbuk Transportation Culture Training Institute, 1 for Gyeongbuk Disabled Sports Association, and 1 for Gyeongbuk Research Institute.
The recruitment announcement will be made through the Gyeongsangbuk-do official website and each institution’s website, and applications will be accepted online only for five days from March 18 to 22. Each applicant can apply to only one position at one institution.
The written exam will be conducted jointly by Gyeongbuk Province on May 4, and the results of the written exam will be announced on May 17. Successful candidates in the written exam will undergo document screening and interviews at each institution, with final successful candidates announced in June.
The exam subjects include one common subject, the NCS Basic Vocational Competency Assessment (50 questions), and two major subjects selected considering the characteristics of the recruitment field (such as Business Administration and Accounting, 40 questions). Qualification requirements such as English proficiency test scores vary by institution.
Notably, Gyeongbuk Province will select three times the number of candidates planned to be hired based on the written exam results and newly introduce a competency assessment to be used as reference material during face-to-face interviews, conducting more rigorous in-depth interviews. The plan is to select outstanding talents who possess both the capability and character to harmonize with organizational culture and actively carry out their duties.
There are 24 public institutions under Gyeongbuk Province following last year’s consolidation, located near the provincial government office in Andong and Yecheon, Gumi and Gyeongsan, Pohang, and other areas. They contribute to maximizing provincial government achievements through harmonious partnerships with Gyeongbuk Province in related fields. Employee retirement age, service, and welfare are managed according to each institution’s internal regulations.
