Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Appoints Director Kim Jaegi as Open Auditor
Kim Jae-gi, Director of Jangseong Library, was finally selected as the open-position Auditor (Grade 3) of the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 19th, Kim Jae-gi, Director of Jangseong Library, was appointed as the new open-position Auditor through a public recruitment process.
The appointed Auditor Kim is scheduled to be officially appointed on the 3rd of next month after undergoing procedures such as checking for any disqualifications for appointment.
The Office of Education announced the recruitment for the open-position Auditor in January. On the 25th of last month, the first successful candidates were announced through document screening, and the final candidate for appointment was decided through the second document screening and interview on the 14th.
The main duties include ▲ establishing and operating anti-corruption and integrity policy promotion plans ▲ investigating and handling misconduct, complaints, and special cases ▲ supporting audits of various institutions and processing results ▲ establishing public service discipline.
An official from the Office of Education said, “We expect that selecting talented individuals with expertise in the relevant fields will greatly contribute to the development of education in Jeonnam,” and added, “The Auditor will contribute to the independence of the audit organization and strengthening audit capabilities, and furthermore, enhance the transparency of educational administration.”

Auditor appointee Kim Jae-gi passed the educational administration civil service exam in 1990 and has served as Head of Administrative Support Division at Yeongam Office of Education, Auditor Team 1 and 2 Leader at Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, and Head of Safety and Welfare Division. He is currently serving as Director of Jangseong Library.
