Goheung-gun Successfully Concludes Integrity Concert

Inspiration, Fostering Sense of Belonging, and Promoting a Culture of Integrity

Gohung County, Jeollanam-do (County Governor Gong Yeong-min) announced that on the 16th, it held the “Integrity·Empathy·Sharing Festival Integrity Concert” (hereinafter referred to as the Integrity Concert) at the Kim Yeon-su Room of the Gohung Cultural Center for about 500 affiliated public officials to promote a culture of integrity and create a workplace culture where people want to come to work.

The Integrity Concert began with the reading of the Integrity Practice Resolution, in which representatives of Gohung County public officials reaffirmed their commitment to integrity, and featured various programs such as ▲a special lecture on integrity ▲an integrity duo show (integrity theatrical performance) learned through a situational play ▲and an a cappella performance to share moments of joy, emotion, and communication together.

The special lecture on integrity broke away from the previous education method, which mainly consisted of fragmentary explanations, and was conducted in a quiz format where the audience solved various problems through online participation using mobile phones, etc. This method enhanced the understanding of anti-corruption and integrity, code of conduct, Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, which public officials need to know, thereby encouraging active participation from the education participants.

In particular, this event was operated as a combined event with various cultural performances, adding enjoyment, and delivered a somewhat heavy topic in an easy and fun way, gaining satisfaction from attendees across all generations of public officials.

Gong Yeong-min, Governor of Gohung County, said, “I hope this event becomes an opportunity for public officials, tired from various tasks at the beginning of the year, to enjoy themselves with a relaxed mind and to once again reflect on the value of integrity.” He added, “I ask everyone to work together with one heart to improve the integrity level of Gohung County throughout this year.”

Meanwhile, Gohung County achieved its highest-ever score of “Overall Grade 2” in the 2023 Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation of Public Institutions, and to improve integrity in 2024, it is promoting various integrity policies such as launching a Lunar New Year integrity culture campaign, conducting a signature campaign for the integrity pledge, integrity morning broadcasts, integrity alert notices, and integrity consulting.
