Application Deadline for Asia Tchaikovsky Competition on March 5 Next Month
Held at Seoul National University of Education Concert Hall from March 9 to 17
The 2024 Asia Tchaikovsky Young Artist Competition will be held from March 9 to 17 at the Seoul National University of Education Concert Hall. This competition is hosted by Asia Economy Co., Ltd. and organized by Tchaikovsky C&C Co., Ltd.
The competition will be held in three categories: piano, violin, and cello, with participants ranging from kindergarten to general division across various age groups. Renowned domestic performers and faculty members will serve as judges.
This competition was established to expand the base of classical music, provide aspiring performers who will lead the future of K-classical music with opportunities to fully demonstrate their skills, and offer many benefits including chances to perform on stage. The organizers explained that an important purpose of this competition is educational: to encourage the next generation of talents and to give them hope and motivation to pursue self-development.
Preliminary and final round participants are free to choose the pieces they wish to perform.
