Serandos Netflix CEO Visits Korea After 8 Months
Scheduled Visit to Original Series Production Site and More
Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, will visit South Korea on the 16th to review the current status of domestic content production. According to Netflix on the 16th, he will visit Netflix Korea located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to meet with employees. He will tour the production sites of Korean original series and visit the office of Scanline VFX, a subsidiary acquired in 2021 specializing in visual effects.

View original imageThis official visit by CEO Sarandos is his first in eight months since the "Netflix and Korean Content Story" event held in Seoul last June. At that time, he stated, "Partnerships with Korean creators so far have only been a superficial scratch compared to future cooperation," signaling plans to increase investment. He reiterated the same intention during a meeting with high-ranking government officials, including Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. It is not yet known whether he will meet government officials or content creators during this visit.
