View original imageOn the 4th, at the Big Open of the Australian Women's Professional Golf (WPGA) Tour held at the Barwon Heads Thirteenth Beach Golf Links Beach Course (par 72) in Victoria, Australia, Shin Ji-ae recorded 4 birdies and 1 bogey in the 4th round, reducing her score by 3 strokes, but settled for 2nd place (11 under par, 278 strokes). She missed out on consecutive wins in two tournaments following last year and her 65th professional victory.
Shin Ji-ae is aiming to participate in the Paris Olympics scheduled for August. She has been competing in international tournaments since February to accumulate ranking points. Currently ranked 15th in the world, if she maintains her ranking until June 24, she will represent South Korea at the Paris Olympics.

Jo Jeong-min, a New Zealand Korean who has won 5 times on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, performed well with a 4-under-par round, finishing 3rd (10 under par, 279 strokes).
