During the event, Pohang City introduced its top 10 key achievements from last year and explained this year’s three major strategies: expanding future value, creating a city of livelihood vitality, and developing a city of dignity. Key priority projects include establishing a mega-cluster for secondary battery business, creating new industrial complexes, and founding the POSTECH Medical School.
In the subsequent discussion session, chaired by Mayor Lee Kang-deok, various local issues for the development of Donghae-myeon were addressed, and diverse opinions from residents were collected.
The event concluded with a Q&A session focusing on topics of local interest such as the progress of the Yeongilman Bridge and the municipal museum, as well as residents’ welfare and convenience facilities necessary for regional development.
Mayor Lee Kang-deok stated, “We will always think from the citizens’ perspective and implement policies through the eyes of the people,” adding, “We will continue to carefully consider the various proposals presented by citizens and strengthen resident-centered administration to improve the lives of our citizens.”
